WHEY HEY HOLIDAYS LOOM LARGE

The best bit is......half the school i.e. Staff and Kids plus parents ALL go to the same resort for the holiday!! Brilliant It's just HEBRON moving base. But staff are free to do their thing No need to look after school kids. It's just that they'll BE THERE

We are going to a beach resort in Kerala called Kovalam. Kerala is south of Tamil Nadu and somebody told me that Kovalam was near the tip of India. Apparently it's a 3 hour trip to the 'tip' (still writing poetry!!lol) So I migfht do tnat trip one day. There are three buses leaving school at 7pm to go down the mountain to Coimbatore. We get an overnight train from Coimbatore at 11pm and arrive at beach the next morning.
I am looking forward to seeing a different part of India. I haven't travelled in India since I got here. Kerala will be significantly warmer so I am ALSO looking forward to that!! Last week we had rain and rain for three days running. Even I thought it was getting boring !!
We have had Drama weeks at school ..year groups put on their own play. Last week there were plays every night of the week. The whole school watched. This week it happens again but, this week the audience is the parents. Tonight also there are approx 100 kids from other English speaking schools coming to watch.Tonight is my night for Dorm Duty so I am excused from going to the plays!!
I walked home after school today cos there were only 10 kids on the bus. A lot were at drama practice and another lot were out with their parents ( I sposed to do bus duty on a Tuesday)There was another member of staff on the bus to cover for me. The photos show what I saw while walking back to the hostel !!Ooty is never dull!!
