PHEW I'M BACK BLOGGING

Hey Mates

It's been toooooo long since my last epistle-which was just after my Goa trip. Life has been HECTIC! Teaxching in Scotland did give me 'some' free time
Anyway to update you...I had an unexpected visit home in Feb for a funeral and since then until now I have been chasing my tail.
Just before that trip home I had LOST a screed of my 'A' level course wo. There's this facility on the computers here at school called the 'pick up basket' Students and staff can send work to one another this way. I used this method frequently as it took large documents -like assignments. What I didn't know was that the 'pick up basket' was a temporary facility!! I had marked 12 assignments before I went off to Goa-thought I was the 'bees knees' When I went back to school at end Jan-GUESS WHAT--- NONE OF THE ASSIGNMENTS WERE THERE! I had lost all the assignments that I had marked NUTS!!
Of course when I went home I had left copious amounts of work for the children to do so I was marking day to day work as well as work that kids had finished in December!! To cut a long boring story short....I was marking non stop. All in all each pupil had to do 10 assignments. To say that I was freaking out is an understatement LOLOL. What it meant of course is that I did no writing of my blog . You'll be pleased to hear that all work is now completed AND marked and was sent off to the exam board on Monday 4th May. So my workload has eased considerably. In fact there's only six weeks left of school. My time at Hebron is coming to an end. I can scarcely believe how quickly the time has passed especially since Feb 2010.
The term from January to Easter was a busy time in the PE Dept as there was a huge Inter House Athletics Championships as well as a Swimming Gala. Times, lengths, distances, bla bla bla had to be sorted out in PE time. Parents came to school in the last WEEK and we had parent/ staff meetings as well as the countless other 'things' that went on- drama show, music stuff, Primary School Sports Day etc etc.Life is NEVER dull here!
During the last week of school Carys and Amy and Catriona came for a two week visit. It turned out to be a three week visit as they got stuck in Bangalore with the volcanic ash disaster! From facebook comments I don't think they liked that too much!!
This term at school there's Blue /Gold inter house sport going on nearly every afternoon!! Exams start next week and then there'll be all the end of year activities-farewell this and farewell that. I much prefer 'Hello's' myself...but 'What to do???'
I was asked to stay for another year or two...I said 'No' ...but who knows what might happen It's all in the lap of the Gods eh? I might come back for a short term stint-escape a Scottish winter
I should have pics for you but I had a disaster with my camera. I put some pics on facebook JUST this week and ALL the other pics on my memory card DISAPPEARED!! mY CAMERA READS -'FILE ERROR'!! Very annoying
Anyway send me LOTS of comments with all the news!! I'll be home in July

GREETINGS GOOD FRIENDS WORLD WIDE!!

yo ho ho bah humbug.... AND ALL THAT JAZZ

School broke up on Thursday 17 December Yee Ha. On 18 December I got a cold and flu So what's new there then at the end o term?? But not to worry I don't go off on my travels until 28 Dec so I got time to recover.
YIP -It's a girly holoiday to Delhi and Rajasthan Look it up yoursels. It's the north o India. I'm told it's going to be very cold Watch this space I doubt it'll be as cold as East Anglia just now.The four girlies will be yours truly, a German girl, an English lassie and an Irish wifie. Should be fun slagging the English-just kidding
End of term was a typical school end of term with all the Christmas festivities. Added to all the parties and Carol Concert was a farewell party to all those who were leaving at Christmas. This was mainly IG's. If you remember I originally applied to be an IG -and International Guest -volunteer for six months. (Could be home now I thought to masel) The IG's are generally young students who have taken a gap year or who are just about to start uni. We had 8 IG's with us this last six months -mainly from the southern hemisphere but we did have two Welsh boys. After Christmas all the new IG's are from the UK None from Scotland but there is one girl from Ireland. All the rest are from Englandland
It is winter here now and it is getting colder at night time. It's not like our Scottish winter tho. During the day it's no too cold- All I really need in terms o warm clothes is a fleece and sometimes no even that.
Christmas Day lunch will be at school There are about 80 staff and kids around on Christmas Day (adults and staff kids) Hopefully it will be fun.
Will write a long news epistle for you after my travels Added some photos to relieve the boredom. First pic is the giant German and Irish Rhonda -three of the four going on holiday to Delhi and Rajasthan. One of Rhonda on the bike on a typical winters day in Ooty. The other is o some radgie in Indian dress at the Christmas Dinner -one with a real Indian and te other with a fine young Scot who is here at school
